If you were to ask me about vaccination I could talk your ear off for a whole day.
Its a subject I have spent alot of time researching, which meant i was having to learn medical terms, to understand what really is the vaccination.
I do urge you to not dismiss this article but take the time to read it, and from there you can draw your own conclusion. I'm not here to tell you not to vaccinate just simply Educate before you Vaccinate...
The topic has multiple issues which i wont cover all in this one article, what I want to cover today is a particular ingredient in a vaccination...one even though there are many concerning ingredients.
Its called 'MRC5 protein'. Human diploid cells - aborted fetuses...
September 1966 the MRC-5 cell line was established it was grown in a Earle's Basal Medium in Earle's balanced salt solution supplemented with 10% bovine serum..
Earle's Basal Medium is used for Tissue Cultures it contains the essential nutritional requirements and other factors critical to the growth of cells in culture.
MRC-5 cell is the name they gave the lung tissue of a 14-week-old male fetus.
Bovine is Cow cells.
They use the MRC-5 cell strain because it is susceptible to a wide range of human viruses. There are actually several types of fetal cells in which the virus is grown: MRC5, WI-38, WI-26 VA4, RA273, PER C and HEK 293, all fetus tissues.
Vaccines that use aborted fetuses:
Vaccine: Smallpox - Acambis 1000
made by: Acambis, made with (cultured in) fetus cells MRC5
Vaccine: hepatitis A - Avaxim
made by: Pateur Merieux, made with (cultured in) fetus cells MRC5
Vaccine: mumps, rubella - Biavax

When I breastfeed, which with gobble, gummy guts Jacob - frequently. I have had family/friends who would actually prefer to leave the room or so gently suggest "Oh, your going to feed, i'll just entertain myself while you go do that and I'll wait here till you come back" this is because they find it uncomfortable, Even though you actually can't see anything - If by some chance you happen to catch a glimpse, i can guarantee you will see much less than you would see watching TV or reading your magazine.

A childhood favourite movie for me was Pollyanna, within the movie Pollyanna tells a story how the Glad game was invented by her father after her parents had requested that one of their supporting churches send a doll for their young daughter.
When the missionary supply package had arrived, it had contained a set of crutches rather than the requested doll. Pollyanna's father had stood with her, looking at those crutches, and had told her that they must look for something to be glad about for the arrival of the crutches - and they had decided that they were glad they didn't need them! After that it became a regular game for them, and even (or perhaps especially) after her father's death, Pollyanna continues to look for something to be glad about in everything that comes her way.
I know I take so much of what I have for granted, I should be Glad for everything I have...Which is alot!
The idea of the 365 day challange is to take a picture each day, just one picture of something you are greatful for.
Something simple that you normally take for granted but are truly greatful to have in your life.
Tomorrow Begins DAY ONE
Special thanks to Earth Angel Mumma for being the inspiration for me to partake.

The Future of Food
one thing i love is watching a good documentary. This is one i will share from one of my favorite sites.

I Have discovered apparently Perfume is simple to make, the idea is to put the essential oils together creating a smell you like.
While pregnant I didn't use allot of perfumes, as my inner voice warned me about the possible effect on my unborn child.
I before was Obsessed with fruity, woody, sharp, crisp perfumes my most common compliment being my scent!
To explain a Perfume is made up of base notes: the smell stays the longest on your skin, middle notes smell stays second longest and top notes the smell of oil evaporates first.
Because the oils all evaporate at different rates the perfume may smell different as time goes on.
Some of the most common chemicals in perfumes are ethanol, acetaldehyde, benzaldehyde, benzyl acetate, a-pinene, acetone, benzyl alcohol, ethyl acetate, linalool, a-terpinene, methylene chloride, styrene oxide, dimenthyl sulphate, a-terpineol, camphor, and limonene. Now, as im not a scientist alot of those words didnt mean much to me, after looking around on wikipedia i was shocked to discover how toxic they can be, found in things like paint thinner, cockroach insecticide...Stating that even topical application of some of these can cause seizures, confusion, irritability - neurotoxins!
Not wanting to leave behind my love for fragrances, I plan to make some "perfumes" using essential oils.
Below are listed easily found essential divided into base, middle and top notes.
• Base notes-cedar wood cinnamon patchouli, sandalwood, vanilla
• Middle notes-clove, geranium, lemongrass, bottle nutmeg, neroli, ylang-ylang
• Top notes-bergamot, lavender lemon lime neroli
• Bridge-vanilla, lavender (add a few drops to join base, middle and top notes together)
To make your perfume, mix at least 25 drops total of essential oils divided evenly between base, middle and top notes. Start with the base notes, then middle, then top, smelling as you go. Add a few drops of the bridge oil. Add 2 1/2 ounces of alcohol
shake for a few minutes, then let it sit for 48 hours (or up to 6 weeks-the longer it sits, the stronger the smell). Add 2 tablespoons spring water, stir, then pour through a coffee filter and put it in a bottle.
Remember essential oils have safe guidelines that should be followed some can be dangerous, handling and use of some essential oils are not safe while pregnant, breastfeeding, blood pressure issues, some should also be avoided if consuming alcohol and medications.

A probiotic is an organism which contributes to the health and balance of the intestinal tract. A probiotic is also referred to as the "friendly", "beneficial", or "good" bacteria which when ingested acts to maintain a healthy intestinal tract and help fight illness and disease.
The word "Probiotic" simply means “for life”
Poor eating habits, chlorinated drinking water, stress, disease and the use of antibiotics in food production as well as in medical treatments can wreak havoc in the gastrointestinal tract by destroying good bacteria and allowing undesirable bacteria to multiply. When the ratio of good bacteria to bad is lowered, problems begin to arise.
Once you have removed the toxic elements from your diet/lifestyle your body will benefit from a probiotic being introduced.
We have recently been introduced to Water kefir, Just one way of obtaining those beneficial bacteria for our bodies
Water kefir is a fermented beverage teeming with beneficial bacteria. Easily flavored, remarkably simple to prepare. Water kefir offers a nice, pleasant alternative to commercial soft drinks.
When water kefir grains are properly cared for and regularly cultured, they produce a wonderful probiotic-rich beverage and will continue to grow and reproduce.
Good for you AND delicious.

This is from a father explaining some of the benefits of breastfeeding - man-style.
Some selfish things a dad should know about breastfeeding (uncensored)
-You're still important!
-Your partner's breasts get beautifully large and fun to play with
-It's a great excuse to rub lotion and lanolin oil all over them!
-The milk tastes pretty good
-It's really fun to squirt if she'll let ya. Even target practice :-P
-Breastfeeding can be a bonding experience for ALL of you. Not just her and the baby
-It's kinda funny sometimes, other times it's hilarious!
-You the dad get to sleep WAY more
-If you want to feel helpful, have her pump and you take over the midnight feedings (this solidifies your status as a straight up HERO btw)
-Your baby is in a MUCH better mood
-You get to see boobs ALL the time! Yay!
-Sick babies are no fun. Breastfed babies are much less likely to get sick, and if they do, they recover MUCH faster because they get the SPECIFIC immune response they need from the mother
-Yes her breasts are going to look and feel a little different when all is said and done. SO WHAT! Boobs are boobs man. Enjoy!
-Formula is REALLY expensive. Like REALLY REALLY expensive
-Babies can't always digest the animal proteins in formula which mean. . . grumpy, smelly, bloated babies with REALLY un-fun diapers
-If you opt for the soy based formula guess what. . . that stuff has got HUGE amounts of estrogen. Turning your little boy into. . .
-All in all. Breastfeeding is the GREATEST thing that can happen for a dad. It's FREE, it's FUN, and most importantly it's what's BEST for your child!
Sincerely, Talon's Daddy
Thanks Chad Emerson!

Petroleum based products are being found to cause significant negative effects to the nervous system and immune system after prolonged exposure while using them.
Illnesses identified in the medical research include: adult and child cancers, numerous neurological disorders, immune system weakening, autoimmune disorders, asthma, allergies, infertility, miscarriage, and child behavior disorders including learning disabilities, hyperactivity and ADD (attention deficit disorders). Petroleum based products are believed to cause these problems by a variety of routes including - impairing proper DNA (Gene) expression, weakening DNA Repair, accelerating gene loss, degeneration of the body's detoxification defenses (liver and kidneys) as well as gradual weakening of the brain's primary defense - (the Blood Brain Barrier).
The evidence is in our modern day society...with the increasing use of such products we also have a huge jump in adult and child cancers, numerous neurological disorders, immune system weakening, autoimmune disorders, asthma, allergies, infertility, miscarriage, and child behavior disorders including learning disabilities, ADD.
Petroleum jelly is used as lip balms, make up remover, moistening cosmetic for the skin, "healing" product for both adults and babies. Anyone anywhere can use this because of its affordability and accessibility.
Many manufacturers use petrolatum because it is incredibly cheap.
Don’t be deceived by your beauty products’ tenderness. Beauty should always be gained through healthy lifestyle.
Try replacing petroleum jelly products with an organic coconut oil...

It is all a matter of personal preference, how your baby is reacting to a particular diaper and how you feel about other factors that come into play when deciding between cloth and disposables.
When you say ‘cloth nappies’ most people instantly think of flat square terry towelling nappies that are attached with a safety pin. A lot has changed! Modern Cloth Nappies (MCN's) are very different - they don’t leak, are easy to use and are also much more attractive than disposables...
So why are disposable diapers avoided by many? Well, disposable diapers have has concerns about dyes, sodium polyacrylate (the super absorbent gel), and dioxin, which is a by-product of bleaching paper. Babies pulling disposables apart and putting pieces of plastic into their noses and mouth, choking on tab papers and linings. Abuse to the environment during the production and disposal of disposable diapers, disposables take a long long time to biodegrade, up to 500 years in some cases, so the millions of tonnes that are added to landfill each year can be avoided if modern cloth nappies are used instead...
A study conducted by Anderson Laboratories in 1999 and published in the Archives of Environmental Health, found that disposable nappies release chemicals called "volatile organic compounds", including toluene, ethylbenzene, xylene and dipentene. All of which have been shown to have toxic health effects, such as cancer and brain damage, with long-term or high level exposure. (Remember, a child wears a nappy containing these pretty much 24 hours a day for up to 3 years...)
There are excellent reasons to use cloth nappies, here are some of them:
Cost saving
Environmental benefits
Better performance
Comfort
Easy use
Easy care
Health benefits

"Greenwashing" or the practice of corporations claiming their products are green when, in reality, they're not at all impressive as eco-friendly products.
Defenders of CFLs (you know the new fancy eco friendly bulbs they want us all to use!?) claim these lights are good for the environment because even though they contain toxic mercury, they use less energy than incandescent lights. And since coal-fired power plants release mercury into the atmosphere, the use of less energy means less overall mercury is being introduced to the environment. While this sounds sensible at first, it's still junk logic: How does harming the planet slightly than before deserve a "green" claim of any kind? definitely not green, and definitely not the solution to the light bolb/s situation.
Large supermarkets chains are guilty of greenwashing with their green bags, labeled Eco bags. What they don't tell you is they are actually made from non-woven polypropylene, which looks like woven cotton, but is designed to not actually break down in the environment. Polypropylene is a byproduct of oil refining, so not only is it not biodegradable, but is supported by both the depletion of fossil fuels and the creation of greenhouse gases.
Greenwashing in the ethanol biofuels industry, where gullible consumers are being told that we can simply farm out way out of an oil crisis by -- get this -- converting most of our food into fuel! Ethanol from corn is so energy inefficient that it takes almost exactly one barrel of oil from somewhere else to farm, harvest, process and produce one barrel of oil equivalent energy from corn.
It's more important now than ever to be skeptical of "green" claims by product manufacturers. Everybody's on the green bandwagon, it seems, and even products that are extremely hazardous to the environment often carry some type of green claim. Consumers need to be sharp and do their research on these corporations before blindly buying into their claims of being Earth friendly.
It really is worth reading that label...
http://www.greenoptions.com/forum/thread/121/my-list-of-fakers-and-not-fakers
Even though I don't recognize alot of the products it shows we really cant trust the label...organic or green...

I have just been reading about Bill gates and how his Foundation Funds 78 New Innovative Global Health Projects.
One of the projects is Ultrasound as a reversible male contraceptive: the ability of ultrasound to temporarily deplete testicular sperm counts for possible use as new contraceptive method for men, excuse me? If ultrasound can be used to temporarily deplete testicular sperm counts how are they safe for our unborn babies? Especially us women who had scans in the first 6 weeks of a babies life.
Are Ultrasounds contributing to spontaneous abortions? Miscarriage?
In a large randomised controlled trial from Helsinki, 9000 women were randomly divided into two groups.
The women in one group were scanned at 16-20 weeks whereas the women in the other group were not.
Comparing the results from these groups revealed 20 miscarriages in the scanned group and none in the controls...
Ultrasound has never been subjected to any rigorous trials indicating whether or not is is actually safe.
Is the fact we use such technology so frivolously enough for us to accept that is is certainly safe with no risks?

Nano Vaccines are ultra-small particles about 1/200th the width of a human hair, combined with all or part of the disease causing microbe to trigger the body's immune system. I'm talking about aerosol vaccines...
Mass Inoculations of the Public.
Sweat-triggered vaccine delivery, nanoparticles that penetrate the skin through hair follicles and burst upon contact with human sweat to release vaccines.
What will we expect to see?
How far will this go? Will airports use air conditioners to inoculate every person who passes through?

If breast milk had a content label it would read.
immunoglobulins IgA, IgD, IgM, IgE, IgG
Whey proteins
Casein proteins
Lactoferrin
Lysozyme
Bifidus factor
fats
vitamins A, D, E, K, C,
riboflavin
niacin
panthothenic acid
Carbohydrates
Water
How amazing is the womans body!?
IgA is a type of antibody whose main function is to fight ingested antigens. It is found in body secretions such as saliva, sweat, or tears. IgA prevents the attachment of viruses and bacteria to skin and intestinal lining surfaces. Other immunoglobulins, including IgG and IgM, in breast milk also help protect against bacterial and viral infections.
Lactoferrin inhibits the growth of iron-dependent bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract. This inhibits certain organisms, such as coliforms and yeast, that require iron.
Lysozyme is an enzyme that protects the infant against E. Coli and Salmonella. It also promotes the growth of healthy intestinal flora and has anti-inflammatory functions.
Bifidus factor supports the growth of lactobacillus. Lactobacillus is a beneficial bacteria that protects the baby against harmful bacteria by creating an acidic environment where it cannot survive.
So now when you hear "breast is best" know its actually quite extraordinarily AMAZING!!!

When a new mother is moving into motherhood, they are provided with many resources, offered support and if needed help.
What happens when our babies slowly stop being babies and turn into children? Is it just assumed we all know instinctively how to parent children healthily...
We all want to instill discipline in children so they become good additions to society, but going about it in an overbearing manner may be just as hard on children as no parenting at all.
The Parent/Child Relationship...
This one is at the top of the list because all of the others are dependent upon it. Basically, if you have not established a solid attachment between you and your child that is characterized primarily by positive regard (on your part), you do not have the foundation necessary from which to successfully manage behavior. Children do what their parents say primarily because they care what their parents think of them or how they feel about them.
Spending Time with them....
This one goes along with the one above. You must spend time with your child on a regular basis that is not centered around behavioral problems, and this time should be used for play, conversation, and relationship-building activities. The more loved and understood your child feels by you, the easier it will be to manage his or her behavior.
Developmental Knowledge....
Be sure that you know what your child is actually capable of doing depending on his or her age. Very often parents personalize their children's misbehavior as something they are "doing on purpose." Sometimes this is true, but more often the behavior is quite natural for the developmental age. Knowing this helps you look at behavior management more objectively and less reactively.
Clear Rules...
This may seem like a given, but it is very easy to find yourself in the position of waffling on rules you have set. Don't lump a lot of rules together, especially for younger children. Make one very clear statement. The younger the child is, the more exact the wording must be.
Positive Reinforcement...
Use positive reinforcement whenever possible. This is most helpful when a child successfully behaves in the way you have prescribed. Be careful, however, not to use material inducements for good behavior (such as buying new toys, etc.). Reinforcements should be centered around feelings of self-esteem, accomplishment, and cooperation. Do something with your child such as play a game, go to the park, or simply give verbal praise and appreciation.
Remembering we are raising the next generation, they will make up the population of society...What kind of environment do we hope they will inhabit, influence and succeed in? Because its us who mold the world around us in by the choices we make.

Most of us are told to achieve optimal growth, infants should be exclusively breastfed for the first six months of life. What we are not told and realize, is that there are benefits to nursing a child beyond six months.
The World Health Organization (WHO)actually recommends nursing for a minimum of two years...two years!
I have such a pre-programed view installed in me through our western culture on what breastfeeding means. Exploring the topic of breastfeeding myself, is helping me choose what is REALLY best...They say 'Breast is best' but how much breast is the best?
Even after 12 months, babies continue to benefit from human milk. At one year of age, a baby's immune system is functioning at only 60 percent of adult level...
Many people are uncomfortable seeing mothers breastfeeding children because they regard breasts as sexual objects, no thanks to the media.
Oral development. Breastfeeding provides a natural outlet for non-nutritive sucking that promotes proper oral development, which has been found to improve speech.
I'm sure there are some of you thinking "If a child can ask to nurse, there's something wrong with doing so." Even though, it's appropriate Giving children bottles, which were designed to imitate the breast... ...
Children all outgrow the need to breastfeed. ~ Be clear about what you want and what works for your family. Remember this is your child and your decision.

No gift bestowed upon us is so precious as children, They are the hope of the future.
There has been a noticeable change in the moral climate of our society and it's passing down through the generations.
We need to accept the responsibility to be architects of their environment both physical and moral. We need to create an environment in which our children can develop habits of honesty, generosity, and a sense of justice - What is truly right from wrong.
Failing to do this in my eyes causes for a bleek future, One I don't wish for my childrens, childrens, children...

It is up to us as parents - despite our personal limitations - to give our children the right start in life: to help them become fulfilled, emotionally healthy adults, capable of loving and trusting others.
The best advice I can give to anyone reading this blog, is to simply trust in yourself.

Do you know what these famous people have in common?
Alexander Graham Bell
George Patton
Albert Einstein
Benjamin Franklin
Winston Churchill
Agatha Christie
George Bernard Shaw
Will Rogers
... .... ... I'll give you a moment.
If you guessed that they were all homeschoolers, you'd be correct.
I can almost "hear" what some of you are thinking.
But, why is it assumed that people can't be educated and become successful adults without attending public(Private)school?
I'm lucky enough to have been blessed with the opportunity to experience being home schooled and the effects it had on me academically.
I also know of a number of home schooling families who have raised successful, well educated children.
I'm sure you would have heard about the Government website that provides the public with statistical figures on students and their schools.
I have taken the time to browse this site ~ It's quite obvious the amount of children who will end up leaving school not academically prepared for what awaits them or their career goals.
By now your probably busting to ask "But what about the effects of homeschooling and Socialization !!!?"
How does public school equal healthy social development?
Socialization is not the same as having a social life. Homeschooled kids will have as many friends and activities as they want and we the parents allow.
They are socialized by their parents and other caring people who help them learn appropriate behaviour in different situations - at home, in public, in informal and formal activities.
They will have many opportunities to learn and practice social skills as they will be interacting with the real world on a regular basis.
Homeschooling is healthy!
It's a free country because we can live by whatever perspective we want to, one suited to our values, hopes, goals, beliefs ~ What a perfect opportunity that is to be the best we can! If for you that’s Public school - Great, And if for us it's Homeschool Id expect the same well wishes :)

There’s something amazing and quite surreal about looking into my child’s face and seeing my own image as a baby reflected back.
This perfect little being completely content with nothing more than the nurturing love of his family.
Our home is now bursting with energy, excitement, fascination...
Everything he embarks on for the first time is a adventure, i can see and share the joy and wonder in his eyes, along with the sense of pride he has in everything he learns.
Its these moments i'll chersh and look back, they are the memories I'll keep.
Having a child didn't take anything from me, I flatly refuse to agree with the idea that becoming a mother is the end. Because it’s not. It’s the beginning.

Since my last entry I have embarked on the most amazing journey of Motherhood.
Once a woman becomes a mother, multitudes of professionals, know it alls and get in your face and alls come out from the crowds and inform you on how best to parent a child. A mother should do this and shouldn’t do that…Babies must be like this and never do that!
As a new Mum, it’s intimidating and daunting the first time you come out and say what your mother's intuition is leading you to be! After all, we didn’t give birth to text books, God gave us babies. We're so inundated with experts in books, magazines, and on TV that we taught not to believe in ourselves…
Now don’t assume mother's intuition is putting our heads in the sand, in fact if it wasn’t for that small mothering voice we wouldn’t follow, educate, prepare and listen to our hearts!
We as women were designed for motherhood… I’m perfectly happy that my purpose is to build a loving, safe home and be a Mother to my children.
That means My choices – My family – Our happiness.
