I have just been reading about Bill gates and how his Foundation Funds 78 New Innovative Global Health Projects.
One of the projects is Ultrasound as a reversible male contraceptive: the ability of ultrasound to temporarily deplete testicular sperm counts for possible use as new contraceptive method for men, excuse me? If ultrasound can be used to temporarily deplete testicular sperm counts how are they safe for our unborn babies? Especially us women who had scans in the first 6 weeks of a babies life.
Are Ultrasounds contributing to spontaneous abortions? Miscarriage?
In a large randomised controlled trial from Helsinki, 9000 women were randomly divided into two groups.
The women in one group were scanned at 16-20 weeks whereas the women in the other group were not.
Comparing the results from these groups revealed 20 miscarriages in the scanned group and none in the controls...
Ultrasound has never been subjected to any rigorous trials indicating whether or not is is actually safe.
Is the fact we use such technology so frivolously enough for us to accept that is is certainly safe with no risks?

it has also been proven that a baby can hear the ultrasonic waves and don't like it.
Did you notice that bubba is more active during and ultrasound or doppler scan? I did! :s
We haven't yet found if they are possibly damaging our children's hearing capabilities. More study is needed.
